The history of XPENG
Founded in 2014, our belief is simple: “All our technological ambitions have the potential to transform the future of cars. And that’s our foundation.”
Therefore, we never stop innovating and are striving to become a leader in the development of intelligent electric vehicle systems that will be powered by AI and cutting-edge technologies all around. Our business has grown steadily and continuously, and has always been supported by our investors. Our company has also been listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) since 2020 and 2021 respectively, with the current status of both.

Expanding a global base that brings together diverse expertise
We are a passionate and multi-dimensional team with rich experience in technology, finance and the automotive industry, located in key cities in China, the United States and Europe, to jointly set the standard as a global innovator of future mobility.
We are ready to unleash our potential to become a leader in the electric vehicle (EV) market with a factory built according to Industry 4.0 standards based on the concept of sustainability, integrating the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) system into the assembly and battery production process in an open, transparent manner with real-time inspection to ensure the highest quality and production efficiency. In addition, we have designed the future EV production capacity that can produce up to 600,000 units per year in three state-of-the-art factories in Zhaoqing, Guangzhou and Wuhan.

As part of our commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), we have developed an innovative concept called X-SEG (Smart, Efficient and Green) to guide and control our plant operations and serve as a cornerstone for all aspects of our business. Our ESG efforts have been recognized globally for the second consecutive year. We were ranked AA by MSCI ESG Research in 2021, the highest MSCI ESG rating in the global automotive sector. MSCI ESG Research also awarded XPENG a score of 10 and 9.1 in the product Carbon Footprint and Clean Technology Capabilities categories, respectively, as two key contributing factors to our ESG score.
